The Chess Federation of Russia reacted to the FIDE 100 speech of Magnus Carlsen. “”Of course, Magnus can play chess. But you shouldn’t meddle in things you don’t understand. It’s a shame he said that,” says a statement distributed to local media.

Most state agencies in Russia, including TASS, fail to publish Carlsen’s statement and restrict themselves to talking about Carlsen’s chess achievements.
