Oscar Jack Piastri is an Australian racing driver who competes in Formula One for McLaren. Piastri has won seven Formula One Grands Prix across three seasons. It remains to be seen how many chess games he won against fellow F1 pilots.

In an unexpected turn of events, when it seemed that the final game was going to end in a draw and the tiebreaks were unavoidable, the champion Ding Liren made a huge mistake. The final result of the match is 7.5-6.5 for the challenger. Niki Riga captured the final moment of Gukesh at the board, with the tears of joy by Gukesh.

Today, Gukesh received a hero welcome home. Gukesh was swarmed at the Chennai airport by a mass of journalists and fans. He is expected to address the media later today, in what is his first press conference in India as the world champion
